Can we just start today again?

Tonight was not so great.

Not-so-great moment no 1: Bike Boy gets a flat tyre on the way home and his bike pump is broken. So I have to go rescue him, making me 10 minutes late for my client appointment. My FIRST appointment with a new client. Did I mention my pathological fear of being late?

Not-so-great moment no 2: Whilst carrying a box full of dumbbells out to the car, I manage to very inelegantly fall downstairs, badly bruising both knees, one elbow and twisting an ankle and wrist. Way to make a great first impression!

Not-so-great moment no 3: My low fuel light is on in the car on the way home, so I pull into a petrol station and find that everyone in my suburb apparently needs to fill their car right NOW. So I continue on to the next petrol station and find queues of 3-4 cars at every pump. What? Was there some announcement on the news that petrol is going up to $200 a litre tomorrow or something? I have a client at 5:00am tomorrow, so filling up in the morning isn't really an option. *sigh* So I wait. And wait. Finally, I fill my car and go to pay. And I wait again. And wait some more. Just my luck that the service station attendant is a half-witted teenager who obviously only started in the job today, since he has no idea what he’s doing. After waiting for over 5 minutes while he tries to figure out how to do an EFTPOS transaction, I tell him to forget it and pay cash.

Meanwhile through all this waiting, my knees are throbbing and I just want to get home and stick an ice pack on them.

Good thing I don’t have to train legs again till Friday.

Yikes! Look at the time.....I'm off to bed.

Its Halloween Kek, some rotten witch has put a hex on you. Hope your knees & ankle aren't too bad.

Hope tomorrow goes better and the knees are fine.

Petrol is always cheapest on Tuesdays which explains the servo queues :)

It's nothing fatal, just a few bumps and grazes, plus a badly bruised right knee, and my left ankle feels slightly dodgy.

I'm declaring today a rest day from training. Don't suppose I can get away with pulling a sickie, can I? Mmm, suppose not....

Hey Kek

I would pull a sickie! A day of rest sounds like just what you need.

Take care!

Hope that tomorrow is a better day for you.

Just think of it as a Halloween Hex and that tomorrow (today) everything will be all better!!
