Stupid facts

According to, right-handed people live, on average, nine years longer than left-handed people.

So what I want to know is: since I've trained myself to be ambidextrous with the mouse (a necessity, thanks to my tennis elbow), does that mean that I've reduced my life expectancy by 4.5 years?

Aren't there more right handed people than left handed people anyway? Perhaps they should perform an analysis when the population is a bit more even!

[I'm saying this as a left hander since I do NOT want to believe that stat!]

I think left handers only lose those 9 years out of total stress and frustration built up out of trying to use right handed scissors, bottle openers etc etc!
Or, if you're the same generation as my Dad, being forced to write with your right hand throughout school!
