Training update

Somehow it slipped my mind, but I have a new training program, as of last week. I'm now only weight training 2 days a week, doing one upper and one lower body workout. Easy, you say? Yeah, that's what I thought - till I opened my program and discovered that it starts with a warm up of 25 pushups. That's a warm up?

So, it's actually less exercises and training less often, but still 3 sets of 8 reps....which means that I've had to increase the weights I'm using. Still figuring out what's appropriate there, but I'm loving having more time to spend on other stuff - like...er...cardio?

You're right, there's something very twisted about putting 25 pushups and warm up together!

Chekc out 'The Power of 10" book. I love the principle there...SLOW lifting. You do less reps /workouts, and you really feel it.

Oh this is good to hear. I am doing only two sessions (full body) per week and was wondering if I should do more. I try to do a cycle or swim on a 3rd day. My workouts are full on hard work though and I'm still sore for 2 days after each. :) yeah
