The dirt on....the dirt

We went to visit our block of land today, to see what progress had been made. Settlement is supposed to happen around late August/early September, and things seem to be moving along nicely.

I even took some photos - hope you can all stand the excitement......

Looking towards the back of our block (that big pile of dirt is about where our lounge will be):

The view of what will be the street, from roughly where the front porch will be:
Looking back towards the creek:

The creek - with actual water in it. See, we HAVE had rain! Frogs and tadpoles should keep little boys endlessly amused....let's hope they don't bring them into the house. Perhaps I can distract them with the roos in the park next door?

Amongst the mud, excavated boulders, water pipes, gas lines, various stakes and markings, we managed to find the surveyor's peg marking the boundary between our block and the one next door:

I promise not to post any more pictures till there's actually something to see.... (can you tell I'm getting excited?)

LMAO!!! Deb, that's exactly what he said when he saw the photo...

That'll teach him to hunch over when I have a camera in my hands! OK, so it was bloody cold today, he was probably huddled against the wind. But still. LMAO!!

Sorry about the dirt photos...this is possibly the most exciting thing that's happened to me in the last 20 years!

Ahhh, my life is obviously sadly lacking in excitement.
