Breakfast passion

I have 4 standard breakfasts that I tend to eat week in, week out:

- Porridge with vanilla whey and skim milk (my usual, about 5 days a week)
- Blueberry or banana protein pancakes
- Scrambled egg whites with spinach, mushrooms and multigrain toast
- French toast

Those are all great, but this morning, I felt like something different. I was inspired by Debstar to grab some passionfruit at the supermarket last night, and there they were, staring at me from the fruit bowl. So I came up with the following concoction:

40g of muesli (Nu-Vit's Mega High Protein Muesli*)
1/2 cup of thick natural yoghurt
About 10g of Ladybird Protein Crunch
1/2 a teaspoon of Xylitol
The pulp of a decent-sized passionfruit

Yum.

*I picked out the peanuts. Raw peanuts. Ick.

You know you should publish a recipe book...!

The problem I have with museli is once I open the packet I can't stop going back to it for another nibble every 5 minutes so I have to avoid buying it at all costs.

Deb, you wouldn't nibble on this one.... it's not one of those sweet toasted mueslis. There's dried fruit in it for sweetness, but no honey or sugar (or oil) added and the grains etc are raw. Not something for grabbing handfuls out of the packet, that's for sure.

The Protein Crunch adds a nice crunchy texture and the passionfruit was divine.
