Springing into September

Quickie this morning - I'm back to work today. (Starting back on a Thursday is awesome, because I only have to work a 2-day week.) So, in brief:

- Hurrah for the start of Spring! :) Looks like we have a few decent days lined up, if the folks at the BOM have got it right.

- Training is going along very nicely, thanks. This morning I spent an hour with Coach Troy, and whilst there was plenty of sweating, there was nary a peep out of my inner lazybones. No little voice whining that it was too hard, or that it suuuucked, or anything else along those lines. Just one more sign of my improved fitness. Go, me!

- I've trimmed off some of my winter layer of fat, and have had a number of people comment on my weight loss recently, which is all good. But the past couple of weeks, I've gotten a little distracted on the weekends, and things have slowed to a crawl. So the start of a new month and a new season is a good time to start pedalling a bit harder in the nutrition department and really rev up the fat burning.

- I tested out Sara's banana ice cream last night (well, my own version, because my avocado turned out to be way past its best) and it was FABULOUS. If bananas weren't still so expensive, I'd be eating this daily... It's inspired me to put my creative chef's hat on and try out a few new things. So expect some new recipes over the coming month.

That's about it for now. I'm hitting the shower and then hitting the road. Happy Spring!

Hey Kekky, I could feel the lift in mood today too - at the gym and the pilates room seemed warmer. Hooray for a bit of spring!

Congrats on the improved fitness and trimming of fat :-) Onwards and upwards as you harness the motivation that a new season brings.
