Christmas dilemma

This morning I have dropped the car off at the dealer's for a service, done a mountain of washing which is now happily flapping about on the line, endured 40 minutes of aerobic "fun" with Coach Troy and, after procrastinating as long as possible, finally wrestled the enormous box containing our Christmas tree down from the pile o' crap stacked up in the garage.

I've assembled it, but there will be no decorating until I can decide where it's going. It's a massively huge bugger, and for the past two years it lived happily in the lounge, since that room was practically empty. Now though, we have furniture and... stuff... in there, so I need to either find a new home for it or move a heap of things around the house.

Yes, I know it's crooked, thanks!

I've pushed and pulled it around the family room, and even tried plonking it in the "gallery" (the builder's grand name for the useless bit of not-quite hallway between the lounge and dining rooms), but I'm not happy with it anywhere.

So I'm going to put off making a decision until Bike Boy gets home. We can have an argument discussion about it and hopefully come up with a suitable solution.

Meanwhile, Mrs Woog has written her list of Christmas dos and don'ts, so why don't you pop on over there for a read, while I sort out my very important problems?

Oh noes! :(

I lost all comments from my food blog when I transferred it to Wordpress. If it had been THIS blog, I'd have had a good long cry...

ok.. maybe can fix it.... you know those Friday nights where you spend 5 hours playing around with code that you know nothing about and hoping like hell it works out??

I see you got them back... aren't you clever?! :)

Aaaah the Christmas tree location dilemma. We shove ours in the corner of our dining room. Not ideal for accessing on christmas day to get to pressies but other living areas are either too small or have no wall space. Such is life.

Ha..ha..ha..are they your feet up on the table in the background, Kek? :P

Magda, I sorted it - I refuse to shove the tree in a corner this year, so I've moved furniture around a bit. it's still not decorated though - not enough lights. Off to the shops this morning!

Well spotted, Kerry, but not mine - I was taking the photo. That's one of my gangly sons sprawling all over the couch. ;)

"Now though, we have furniture and... stuff... in there". You call your sons stuff? I was going to suggest you remove all the branches from the back of the tree and then jam it up against a wall. I know, I know, I'm full of brilliant ideas.

Thanks Deb - not quite the solution I was after, even if it is sort of slightly-mental-genius.
