Recipe alert!

Yesterday I wanted something tasty, quick and healthy for dinner. I looked in the freezer in the morning and discovered ...mince. At least four different varieties of mince: chicken, beef, pork, veal.

We were a little overstocked in the meat department before Christmas, so decided we'd aim to get by without buying much more for the next few weeks, and live on what was already in the freezer. I think we've succeeded.

So...what to do with mince? I thought for a minute and realised that I hadn't made "real" hamburgers for a long time. Decision made!

Double beef burger with bacon - yum!

My classic beef burgers were a hit with the whole family, and with the addition of a large salad, satisfied my nutritional needs perfectly.
