Thursday? No, it's ME-day!

Just chilling...

Today shall be all about ME. I still have a list of things to do around the house and some more website & blog work outstanding, but it can all wait. I'm declaring this particular day of my holidays a work-free zone.

With that in mind, yesterday I had a bit of a cook-a-thon and not only prepared last night's dinner ahead, but I tested out a new recipe and cooked that for tonight's dinner. I'll sleep a bit late, do a spin workout at home when I get up, take my time over breakfast and might be dressed by 10:00am. I've made a (long overdue) appointment with my hairdresser for 11:00am, and will spend a couple of hours reading trash magazines while my colour "cooks".

After that? Lunch and then a read, or a walk, or a bit of shopping. Perhaps I'll walk up to the farmhouse cafe for a coffee on the verandah. Or give myself a pedicure - ooh! Maybe I'll go get an actual proper pedicure! The possibilities are endless....

Now I'm asking myself why I don't do this more often? Hmm. Maybe I'll extend it into a two-day me-fest.

What a perfect sounding day. I might have to schedule one of those while I'm on holidays too. Mitchell will be in Vac Care one day so that'll have to be it.

BTW go the professional pedicure and let somebody else do the work while you read more trashy mags and relax.

Cheers

It turned out to be a pretty lazy day, Magda, with a large chunk of the afternoon spent watching the cricket. :) Must do it more often.

If I spent an afternoon watching the cricket I'd need to punch something, probably my husband for not changing the channel.

No Deb, cricket is awesome - you don't have to pay attention to it 99% of the time, since they conveniently replay anything that actually happens. So you can read, knit, muck around on your laptop, whatever...

It was a particularly exciting match though.
