|Cupcake? What cupcake? Would I eat cupcakes?|
After several weeks of injury, misery and illness, I can't begin to tell you how ready I am to do a complete about-face and hop back on the path to fitness, energy and good health.
While I was wallowing around feeling sick and grumpy, of course I made sure to eat healthy foods, drink plenty of water, get lots of sleep and take my supplements..... Oh, wait. That's what would have happened in some alternate Bizzaro-land type universe.
Back here on Planet Kek, there was much consolatory feasting and quite a bit of drinking of wine. And the odd cupcake. Combined with all the arse-sitting that was going on, I'm left feeling rather bloated, a little squishy and entirely lacking in energy. And my fitness is going to really suck. Meh, at least that last one is not my fault.
So today I'm kicking off a renewed healthy nutrition and fitness plan. I'm calling it the Fit & Fitter plan, because I have exactly 28 days until we head off on holidays and I plan to be both fitter and to fit better into my clothes. (Get it?)
Coincidentally, I received an offer last week from the makers of Isowhey, to try out their products as part of one of their Healthy Living programs. I almost squee-ed out loud when I saw that they have a 28-day Rejuvenation program. Perfect!
The timing got even more perfect when a parcel arrived in the mail yesterday containing a tub of French Vanilla Isowhey and some high protein snack bars. So I'm diving in head-first today. Well, nutrition-wise anyway. Exercise-wise, a walk and some rehab exercises is about all I'm up to - but hopefully by the end of the week I'll be getting back into some weights work and moderate cardio.
Don't worry; I'm not going to bore you with daily food and training logs, but I will do a weekly update on how I'm going with my little challenge.
Fit & Fitter's the name, Fit & Fitter's the game.
